Service Description

Designed for ages 12+, this 8 week class will focus on Nature: Animals & Insects. In this 1.5 hour per week class, students will boost their drawing, design, and observation skills while exploring a variety of art mediums such as: painting, drawing, sculpting, and printmaking. Photographic references and specimens will be provided for the students to utilize. As a class, we will also be visiting the Edna W. Lawrence Nature Lab on the RISD campus and exploring the collection at the Museum of Natural History in Roger Williams Park. NOTES: - No classes: 9/4, 9/25, 10/9 -The First Class will be at the Edna W. Lawrence Nature Lab on the RISD campus from 4-5 PM -SPECIAL CLASS DAYS: *Saturday, 9/30, 10-11:30 AM at Roger Williams Park Museum of Natural History *Friday, 10/13, 4-5:30 PM at Orange Anchor - The price of this class includes all art materials. - Photos in description are past projects and may or may not reflect what students will create - Please read the Class Policy below. ORANGE ANCHOR ART CLASS POLICIES Upon signing up, you agree to the following policies: -Please arrive on-time at both drop-off and pick-up. Often, I need to get ready for the next class and need that time to prepare. -Art class ages are suggested in the details of each course listing. Your child MUST be the age of the class chosen at the start of the class (NO exceptions, please) -PLEASE NOTE: Because of the limited capacity, I will no longer offer makeups or refunds for missed classes, even if you know you will miss ahead of time. However, If extenuating circumstances arise, I’m a reasonable human. Contact me directly and let’s figure this out. Sometimes I can find time in my schedule to help a student catch-up a few minutes before class, but this is not guaranteed.
